playit.gg facts from its support pages and forum, checked 2026-10-06. Its dedicated IP is an add-on to Premium, and its price differs by region.
playit.gg is a free, quick start for a game server behind CGNAT, but its agent puts you on an address in playit's shared network. Without the paid dedicated-IP add-on, your server does not get a public IP of its own.
Limits show up as the server grows. The free plan has 4 ports, with numbers that playit assigns, on an address that other users share. Custom port numbers, 16 ports and regional tunnels need Premium, and your own IP is a further paid add-on.
Routing can add lag. Free tunnels use playit's global anycast network, and in playit's own words "routing is not always optimal". Regional tunnels are Premium only. The agent must run all the time, and it carries only the ports you set up, not the rest of the machine's traffic.
Your own static IP over WireGuard. No VPS.
Dedicated IPv4 from $2/mo →GetAStatic gives you a dedicated static IPv4 and delivers it over WireGuard. Run WireGuard on the machine that hosts the server, or on your router. It dials out to our node, so CGNAT does not block it, and players who connect to your IP on the ports you open reach the server directly.
The IP is a VPN too: the host's outbound traffic leaves from the same address. Every port starts closed, and you open the ones you need, TCP or UDP, on their normal numbers. Pay by card or crypto, with a 7-day money-back guarantee.
Run WireGuard on the machine that runs the server. Players change nothing but the address.
| Port | Protocol | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| 25565 | TCP | Minecraft Java Edition |
| 19132 | UDP | Minecraft Bedrock Edition |
| 22 | TCP | SSH to the same machine |
Plus allows 5 open ports; Pro and Ultra have unlimited open ports. A range counts as its size. Ports for Palworld, Valheim and other games are on the game server page.
Plus for light use, Pro for most people, Ultra for full gigabit.
5× speed · 10× bandwidth · 2 IPs — only $2/mo more
No. Only the server machine runs WireGuard. Players add YOUR-IP in the game, like any other server.
No. The IPv4 is assigned to you alone and does not change while your plan is active. No other account uses its ports.
Yes. UDP works the same way as TCP: add the port in the dashboard and choose UDP, for example 19132 for Bedrock or 8211 for Palworld. Players reach the server on that same port number.
It gives your tunnels their own IP, as a paid add-on to Premium, and the playit agent still carries only the ports you set up. GetAStatic includes the IP in the price and is also a VPN for the whole machine.
Yes. Open the ports for SSH, a website or Plex on the same IP. Each open port counts toward your plan's limit.
